MyFitnessPal data clash

I was just wondering something, and was hoping someone may know.

I use my fitbit flex with myfitnesspal and runkeeper. If I go for a 30 minute run, and it's tracked by runkeeper and that in turn is shown in fitbit. Does the information that is also collected by the tracker used in addition to the runkeeper information? This would mean double results for the one run.

Does this happen in this instance or would the time period of the runkeeper data be taken into accout, leading to he omission of the fitbit tracker for that period?

If your Runkeeper is syncing to your Fitbit account and your aren't initiating an "activity" with your Flex, the only thing it should track is your steps. I have Runkeeper going to MFP which goes to my Fitbit. I track runs via Runkeeper and don't initiate anything with my Force and I don't get duplicates.
