MyFitnessPal entries are being multiplied on Fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Most of my food entries coming over from MFP are being doubled. And even stranger, the numbers are not exact. For instance, my breakfast was 145 today and I had one entry showing on Fitbit for 145 and another showing for 140

@EP0515 A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! It's weird that your food entries from MFP are being doubled when syncing with your Fitbit account. I recommend revoking access from your Fitbit account, then re-link both accounts. This should get the issue sorted out.

Keep me posted on the outcome my friend and I'll be around! Smiley Happy

@shayemimi Thanks for joining us! If you haven't done so, try the workaround that was mentioned above in order to fix this problem.

I hvae this problem too. Have deleted the apps, re logged in, deleted the extra entry.

I f I have to do all this extra manual work what is the purpose in having these apps? More than half of my entires from mfp are being increased - by random  (yet significant) amounts.

@Alona Welcome to the Community! So sorry to hear that your Fitbit account and MFP are not syncing the correct their data properly. Since you have re-linked both accounts, I recommend contacting MFP since the problem might be on their end.

Hi, I have the same problem. Today 1 extra lunch and 1 extra dinner was added to Fitbit, that I did not add to MyFitnessPal

@yelias69 Welcome to the Community! So sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same issue when trying to sync your meals from MFP to Fitbit. If you have tried un-linking and re-linking both accounts and had no success, my best advice is to contact MFP's customer service in order to get this issue sorted out.

Has this actually fixed the problem for anyone?

@Rebelgrrl It's great to see that you became part of the Community! Regarding your question, in case the issue is on MFP's end, then it would be better if you contact them. If not, un-linking and re-linking both accounts from Fitbit would be the best workaround.

I am willing to call anyone for help if need be, but the information for me is ONLY incorrect on the Fitbit side, not the MFP side. Randomly on Saturday it says I had three breakfasts totaling over 1200 calories which is not true and not what it says in MFP. I tried deleting breakfast altogether and Fitbit still kept two of the breakfasts (getting rid of the only one I did eat). I tried re-inputting the whole day. I tried linking and unlinking twice. I turned off my phone and charged my Fitbit. Nothing works. It still says (on the Fitbit side, not the MFP side) that I consumed over 2000 calories on Saturday. What is your recommendation?

I have the exact same problem. Tried all the same fixes. Have contacted MFP support, no fix yet.

Same here. Mfp also gave me a few things to try. Surely between mfp and Fitbit they should have some kind of solution that actually works

Same issue here.

This has happened before and was supposedely fixed, but I has happened for me forever and still does. Here's the old thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Third-Party-Integrations/MyFitnessPal-entries-are-being-multiplied-o...

I think the entries are multiplied because as each food is added to the meal, a new entry is created in Fitbit, instead of updating the previous one.

Hope this gets sorted soon, because the way it is the data becomes useless.

I have that same problem. I constantly have multiples of a single meal when I update MyFitnessPal. I've been having this problem for over a year now and have tried resetting, reconnecting, and redownloading both apps seperately and individualy, but it still happens. I've logged my meals for over 425 days and I've had the fit bit just over 365 days. The only thing I can do to help is manually delete meals, but if I delete the wrong one, it never re-syncs that meal at all. It has to be the #1 complaint I have about the fitbit app that I share with people when they ask me about it.

Its a joke -every second week they email me with a new 'fix' or some bull**ahem** and it is still not fixed. Why do they claim to work together and that we should link them up when they clearly do NOT work together and have been unable to fix it!!!
Am actually thinking of getting rid of both they are crap!

Hey all, I don't seem to be experiencing the same thing. Here's what I see:

Foods from MFP will show on Fitbit as a "Summary". The only thing I can see wrong between these two is a rounding difference between MFP and Fitbit, so it's off by 1 calorie.

I played around with the food entries in MFP (editing an entry, removing/re-adding) and it was still accurate on Fitbit's side. Am I missing something here? Would someone be able to tell me their exact steps and maybe provide screenshots like the ones above? Thanks. 🙂

Hi AndrewFitBit,

Here is a screenshot of what we are talking about. It has pushed multiple lunch entries from MyFitnessPal after I have edited my lunch meal a few times.
