Fitbit Update 10/25/2015
Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.
Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.
In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:
Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!
Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!
Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience!

@mrdmkerr That sounds like a different issue but I'm happy to provide a troubleshoot. Have you tried unlinking and relinking your accounts? Give that a try and let me know what happens.
@Deyadissa Thanks for your feedback. While I forward this and gather more information, I highly suggest using the web Dashboard if you find it more accurate. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this causes. Like I stated, I'll be working with a specialist to find a fix. Thanks.

Hello to everyone! I'll escalate this to the Dashboard specialists so they can take a look at it. Thanks for being so proactive by sharing all the details and for reporting this situation.
@TracyV125Could you please help me with a screenshot? I'm not sure how to do it with a mobile device but in the website Dashboard, just click on "Reply", there is a little icon on the tool bar that says "Insert/edit image". Click on it to select a specific image to post it. Thanks!

My total calories for the day at this point were only 931. I added each item to my lunch right in a row. Then later added my dinner each item right in a row. My lunch was 309 calories and my dinner was 379 calories. Each time I add an item it brought a total over. Again, there wasn't any time in between. I entered my items like I always do one right after another.

I have the same issue. As mentioned above, it seems to occur when editing a specific meal. It keeps the original calorie count and adds an additional entry with the new calorie count instead of just merge/updating. However, I just delete the erroneous entry, that is until it is fixed.

Hi Edgar - This is happening for me also. I'm getting 3 separate entries for Breakfast etc.

I've also noticed and don't think its an app problem. I have just entered my snacks for today by copying yesterday's and then deleting the things I haven't eaten today; all via the MFP website. I then when straight to the fitbit website and had four different entries for snacks; one for each time I deleted an item.

Hello guys! I've something to share with all of you.
As I mentioned previously, I forwarded this issue with MFP to my team. After doing an evaluation, we determined that this issue seems to be related to MyFitnessPal. Please try unlinking and relinking both accounts (Fitbit account and MyFitnessPal account) if you haven't done it before.
How? Just go to your website Dashboard, click the gear icon in the upper right-corner, select "Settings" from the drop-down meny, and then select "Applications" in the left side of yoiur screen. Click on "Revoke Access" to remove the interaction and then relink both accounts by going to the app. If that doesn't help, file a support case with MFP. In the meantime, as a workaround, you can delete the extra meals from your Dashboard.
We do apologize for the inconveniences. We value your efforts so far in order to fix this situation, however, we could see that this situation isn't happening to all of you 100% of the time. We'll be back with updates if we find out more. Have a nice day!

I am having intermitent issues still. I reported my initial problem in the other thread and will continue to track that to see if a pattern emerges. For now, it seems to be working better but I am having a difficult time staying "in the green". Could be due to the fact I was over eating before!
I am experience a different but related problem. Like a previous poster, I use MYFITNESSPAL to log my food as their data is more estensive than fitbits. It is great that you have partnered up with them. My trouble is I will randomly see multiple meal summaries pulled into the fitbit side of things.
My only thought is that fitbit is pulling/receiving data from myfitnesspal and then not replacing and deleting the old summary when a new one is delivered later in the day.

The same thing is happening with me.

If I revoke it, doesn't that mean I can no longer sync my fitbit and what I eat together? Kind of defeats the purpose or am I not understanding what you are saying?

@Breezy88 You're right, if you revoke the access, you won't be able to sync your food from MFP to Fitbit; that's why you need to go to this page (app) to reconnect both accounts without any issues. I forwarded this case to my team and we determined that this issue may be related to MFP. You should also file a support case with them to let them know about this situation. As a workaround, try to unlink and relink with the steps I suggested before. Let me know how it works!
