Fitbit Update 10/29/2015: As this issue has now been resolved, I am closing the thread from further discussion.

Thank you to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved. Happy to know that your food logs are back to normal! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/25/2015

Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.

Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit Food Log.
  2. Hover over the duplicate food item, an "X" should appear on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the "X" to delete the entry (illustrated below).

Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!

Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience! Robot Very Happy

Hi, all, this is an issue wirh the integration between MFP and Fitbit -- both are aware of it and working on a fix ASAP. I am moving this topic to the main topic on this issue in the third party integration forum -- that way you will be sure to get updates on this.

I have been deleting the extraneous data on the iPhone app. I check in MyFitnessPal for the actual calorie count and then go to the FitBit app on my phone and delete all of the entries for the meal other than that one. A word of warning, if you update/change a meal (like add something to a snack), it does it again so you will have to go back and delete the duplicate entries. Hopefully, they will fix this soon.

This started to happen to me yesterday and after a couple hours of frustration, deleting, and stuff, it keeps doing it again. Fitbit people are clue less and don't know how to help. In the mean time, I am deleting entries manually. But is is a royal pain in the azz.

My Fitbit flex started doing the same yesterday and again today. When I sync it with myfitnesspal pal it seems to triple my calories but myfitnesspal states the actual calories eaten. Tried deleting and editing etc but nothing I've tried helped. Must be a Fitbit error if we are not the only ones.

My dashboad is showing a ridiculously high amount of calories eaten for the last three days and is not recieving the correct information from myfitnesspal!

I don't know what is going on and I have just been sent my weekly report which is all out of whack!

I've had the same issue a couple of times this week. Seems like there is some type of sync error between MyFitnessPal and Fitbit, with several duplicate meals being synced for no reason. I simply deleted the duplicates at the webpage dashboard. Hopefully whatever is causing the issue is resolved soon, but at least the stats/reports generated will be accurate.

Can you tell me how you were able to manually delete the duplicated calories that were synced from My Fitness Pal? I've had the same issue and can't figure out how to do that. Thanks.

Seems to be a bug thats just happened on Tuesday both my wife and my fitbit Charge are showing this fault. There is multiple summary totals in each section Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks... I think there needs to be an app update done. We are using iPhones with the latest version of IOS 9.
