Fitbit Update 10/29/2015: As this issue has now been resolved, I am closing the thread from further discussion.

Thank you to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved. Happy to know that your food logs are back to normal! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/25/2015

Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.

Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit Food Log.
  2. Hover over the duplicate food item, an "X" should appear on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the "X" to delete the entry (illustrated below).

Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!

Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience! Robot Very Happy

Hi, all, this is an issue with the integration of MFP and Fitbit.  Engineers on both sides are aware of the problem and are working to fix it as soon as possible.  I am moving your post to thread on this issue in the "Third Party Integration" forum so you will be sure to get updates.

Mine is doing the same, only started a couple of days ago after updating. I use myfitnesspal and the food logs are coming in multiple times to Fitbit. I have to delete all the extra entries at the end of the day. Fitbit can you please fix this!

Mine has me well over 3000 calories that I didn't eat. I hope this gets resolved soon.

It's cumulative. Coffee with 1 % milk. 22 cals. Cottage cheese 90 cals = 112. Add a tomato. 60 cals. Instead of 172, it becomes 112 plus 112 plus 60 for 282. Then lunch duplicates the 282. 😛

I'm in the exact same boat as you.  Contacted support.  They told me to do the same thing.  So I did all of that last night before I went to sleep.  I logged my breakfast this morning (82 calories).  Fitbit made two entries totalling over 160 calories.  This is frustrating.

Yep I'm the same, for two days now I have been getting duplicates sometimes as many as six, I'm having to manually delete them so it doesn't put my weekly stats out but this is becoming very frustrating. I have raised an issue with Fitbit support but as of yet no fix given. I like many others on here only bought a Fitbit for the mfp integration so this is really annoying. Please get a fix out ASAP 😡

I agree.  This is happening for both mine and my wife's FitBit's and only started yesterday.

Hi,

I'm a new Fitbit user who syncs with myfitnesspal. I still figuring out the integrations but I strongly suspect that multiple calories entries erroneously importing from myfitnesspal into Fitbit were not the only issue yesterday. I also felt that the calorie adjustments from Fitbit to myfitnesspal were overstated. Did anyone else notice this?

My Monday and Wednesday activity levels were nearly identical yet the calories adjustment from Monday was 360, a single entry as usual, and yesterday's adjustment was 638, consisting of two adjustments (213 and 425).
On Monday I did 11,274 steps for 2,273 calories burned and on Wednesday, 12,593 steps for 2,336 calories burned....it's not possible for the adjustment on Wednesday to be nearly double the adjustment on Monday....right???

Thanks for your help!!!

My food is showing up on fitbit several times.  Like i will put in my lunch on Myfitness Pal then look at my Fitbit and it shows like 10X the amount of calories my food actually was.

My calories in are all jacked up. It's logging the summary and each individual input. So like if I have 2 entries for 100 each, it's logging each of those as well as the total. So it says I've input 400, when it's supposed to only be 200. Please help this is frustrating!!

Hi, I enter my meals into my Fitness Pal and it is not synching correctly with the FitBit app. When I go into the FitBit app section on calories, it looks like I have double or triple the calories I actually do because when it synchs it records calories twice or even three times! My calories are correct in MyFitness Pal but somehow get messed up when synching with FitBit. Help!

Yes, I am having a similar issue, not the workouts, but the calorie adjustment in myfitnesspal is being picked up incorrectly, there are two entries and it's higher than it should be.

There's an ongoing issue with MyFitnessPal at the moment. It's affecting a number of us.
