Fitbit Update 10/29/2015: As this issue has now been resolved, I am closing the thread from further discussion.

Thank you to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved. Happy to know that your food logs are back to normal! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/25/2015

Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.

Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit Food Log.
  2. Hover over the duplicate food item, an "X" should appear on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the "X" to delete the entry (illustrated below).

Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!

Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience! Robot Very Happy

There is an ongoing problem with MyFitnessPal at the moment. A number of us are affected this way.

Are we talking about MyFitnessPal linking to fitbit?

If so, there's a known issue at the moment that's affecting a lot of us.

Has anybody solved this problem? My fitness pal is showing correctly one breakfast, while Fitbit shows 3 times the calories. I have gone into Fitbit dashboard and deleted the excess calories on the Fitbit log, but when I resink the charge the calories remain 3 times as much. What can I do?

Me too. I am transferring food intake from MYFitnessPal. It transferrs the first food item in a meal list, then the sum of the first as second, then the sum of the first, second, and third, etc. This started happening with the latest version for iOS

I think myfitnesspal is having a similar issue with the calorie adjustments from fitbit....mine from yesterday appear to be doubled in myfitnesspal....

It's broader than iOS - I'm getting it on Android too.

This is different than the issue with the myfitnesspal meals data being doubled in fitbit  - this is fitbit calorie adjustment data from activity being doubled in myfitnesspal....but I guess it could be that the syncing is wonky going both ways!!!

This just started happening to me, too.  I have to get on the fitbit website and delete all of the extra entries and this has really been a pain the last couple of days.  My calorie count in MyFitness Pal is correct, so is this a fitbit issue?  Really hope we can get this problem fixed.

Just started happening to me yesterday. I use my fittness pal to log food and Fitbit is adding the summery totals and all the individual items twice. It had always worked perfectly until yesterday. Disappointing. I hope it's fixed quickly.

The same thing is happening to me as well. I also track with My Fitness Pal. It is importing that log and then adding the same foods again both in entire and edited portions. The problem started after the most recent app update.

Mine was ok again until I put my lunch in... Then it messed up again.

Hi! I'm having an issue with my calorie intake count. I input my info on myfitnesspal and for a couple weeks everything synced smoothly. Just yesterday the Fitbit app started adding its own calories from who knows where. For example, myfitnesspal says I ate 280 calories so far today while Fitbit says its 900+! What's the problem and how can I fix it? Thanks so much for your help.

My Fitbit is linked to my mfp app and all of a sudden Fitbit is adding thousands of extra calories. For example yesterday even though I logged 1,700 calories on mfp, Fitbit shows 7,000 calories. Today I've only logged breakfast and Fitbit already has me at 1100 calories. What's going on??!!!

Same Here - Thousands of extra calories showing up.

I have the same problem with my fitbit one.  There was an update yesterday from Fitbit that created this problem.  It appears that every time i make an entry into my fitness pal, Fitbit is grabbing the new entry and the new total and adding both to the fitbit calorie total.  So three new entries = 6 postings (3 entries and 3 new totals) to Fitbit.

Yeah, it put in 8 entires for breakfast - I can handle that by deleting the extra entires (even though it keeps adding them) but the calorie adjustment from steps and workouts is a bit more mysterious....still don't know how to fix that being wrong. Deleted the extra one yesterday, will see what happens today I guess!!
