I use the MyFitnessPal app to log my meals. This evening I ate a snack of 156 calories, but in the Fitbit app, it records it as 234 calories. I have tried deleting it from both MFP and Fitbit, and then relogging it, but it does the same thing. This throws off my total calories in on the Fitbit app. This has happened randomly before. Sometimes by the end of the day, the totals resync and match up, but sometimes they don't.
Is there a fix for this? I've tried forcing both apps to close, and restarting my phone, but that doesn't help.

It's great to see you around the forums @momice! In this case I'd like for you to double check if any kind of food logging is happening on your Fitbit account since the accuracy of your Fitbit Log will depend on the accuracy of your MFP food logs.
As a rule of thumb whenever your Fitbit App is linked to MyFitnessPal "all exercises and non-step based activities must be logged through Fitbit, otherwise MFP will count them as double. "
If you can confirm that you haven't logged any food or water through Fitbit, only MFP; it's best if we link and unlink your MFP account from Fitbit.
Here's how to do it:
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions

I never log any food thru Fitbit, only on MyFitnessPal. This problems happens randomly, not all the time. It hasn't happened again since I posted this, but I expect it will again. Will I have to unlink and relink everytime it happens?

Thank you for reaching out @momice! I am glad that this was sorted out.
Linking and unlinking an account is the basic troubleshooting whenever we notice any off numbers between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal. Usually these glitches take care of themselves after a while (like in your case); but if it takes longer than usual or your accounts are not transmiting any information, we recommend to link and unlink.
Let me know if you have any questions, have a great weekend!
