Fitbit Update 10/29/2015: As this issue has now been resolved, I am closing the thread from further discussion.

Thank you to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved. Happy to know that your food logs are back to normal! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/25/2015

Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.

Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit Food Log.
  2. Hover over the duplicate food item, an "X" should appear on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the "X" to delete the entry (illustrated below).

Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!

Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience! Robot Very Happy

It's all about the food! What's Cooking?

I found that support (both chat and phone) was useless. It's clearly outsourced and they are just reading from computer screens, they weren't even aware that there was a system wide issue with the integration.

I have been using myFitness Pal.  All of the sudden yesterday. When I enter food, now it doubles even triples calories on Fitbit dashboard. I have go online to fitbit and delete. Then when I try it just keeps doing it again.

Fitbit is going to have to fix the update that got loaded yesterday with a new update.  In the meanwhile, you can go into the calorie detail and manually delete all the bogus entries except the final meal total that shows up on your MFP.  Otherwise all of the Fitbit reports will be off.  a real pain.

I'm having the same issue. It must be the update with the app.

It's counting everything I log twice. Annoying.

I am having the same issue and it started yesterday. It is a pain to manually delete the extra entries. I hope fitbit corrects this SOON!

I am having the same issue. It started yesterday. It is counting every food  I log in Myfitness Pal as well as the total calorie count for the entire meal. I deleted everything and after syncing reinput all of my meals and it counted them on top of what was previously there. I supposedly ate 13,000 calories yesterday. It is doing the same today.

I deleted the app and reinstalled. Didn't help. Shut down my phone. Didn't help. I have an iPhone 6 with IOS 9.0.2

It happen once before but corrected itself the next day. What is the fix?

Yep.  Me too!  Hard to hit your goal when it is registering you as 9,000 calories in, lol!!  Have to keep deleting stuff.

Same here. I've tried clearing the cache, delting everything from MFP and re-adding gradually. Some things add fine, but others are all over the place.
Don't know which app is mucking it up, but so annoying.
