Fitbit Update 10/29/2015: As this issue has now been resolved, I am closing the thread from further discussion.

Thank you to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved. Happy to know that your food logs are back to normal! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/25/2015

Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.

Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit Food Log.
  2. Hover over the duplicate food item, an "X" should appear on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the "X" to delete the entry (illustrated below).

Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!

Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience! Robot Very Happy

Mine is doing that too, I consumed 2240 calories at breakfast and it was really only 389, each time I log food it gives 8 or 9 amounts all with different calorie amounts.

I've had the exact same problem for the past few days! I also tried to unlink/re-link the zip, but it still shows that I'm way over in calories, but I'm not according to MFP. Random calories are showing up! I hope someone can help.

Same here. I've now disabled the food log as it is showing me as eating 4,000 calories every day this week.

Yes, this is affecting a lot of us. It seems the problem is with MyFitnessPal. They are aware of the problem and are working with fitbit to resolve it.

I wanted to sync fitbit with my fitness pal. When i do that there appears "Another MyFitnessPal account has already been linked to this Fitbit account. Only one account may be linked at once."

I do not have another account. When i look at the dashboard it says that it has synced. But it doesnt work. I have tryed to onsync and sync again but that also didnt work.

I dont know what to do now.

Hi All!

So i am having 2 problems with my fitbit

1 - Its linked to MFP and Fitbit started pulling through thousands of calories in to my daily tracker saying ive eaten 8000 - 10000 calories and i dont know how to fix it!

2 - In my tracked exercie the 'calories burned' is always a completely flat line, where as my friends goes up and down as her intensity does and i dont know how to fix that either! I have only just realised that this was wrong as she sent me hers!

thanks for your help in advance!

Hi @Goudoog

Moved your post from the Charge HR to the Third-Party Integrations section to increase the chance of getting a solution.

Wishing a wonderful day

This is a known issue -- an MFP issue, not fitbit.

I understand that the Fitbit technical people have been in communication with their counterparts at MyFitnessPal and that a resolution is forthcoming, hopefully sonner than later.

I'm having the exact same problem with food logging! It's logging thousands of of calories of food that I haven't entered, not even in My Fitness Pal! Like over 100,000 calories!! It's driving me nuts! I have emailed Fitbit so I hope they get back to me with a solution soon.

Seems to be better now, and fitbit support said it was a MFP issue. I deleted all meal entries in fb and created fake food for tue we'd thurs and fri totals so I'd at least have a correct daily summary. Didn't see a way to just add a cal total in fitbit, so figured this workaround was easiest way to keep track for the week. For some reason the delete option ( swipe left) wasn't working the other day, but I was able to erase the extra compounded entries today. Re syncing didn't seem to add back the cals from earlier in the week, so a manual fix seemed like the best option. Appreciate the quick response and the fairly quick fix!

You can delete the offending extra reported calories until they get it fixed by going to the fit bit calories eaten screen, then down to the day with the offending calories, then slide the days meal summary to the left and there is a delete icon. My wife has been doing that daily since this started four days ago. I haven't done it yet.
