Fitbit Update: 5/26
Hi, MFP users!
We're aware of the syncing issues from MyFitnessPal. Your MFP data may not be syncing over to the Fitbit app at this time. MyFitnessPal is aware of the problem and you can read more on their website here: Fitbit Issues 5/26

Hi everybody! We are glad to announce that the situation have been solved by now. The MyFitnessPal team, have announced that the synchronization should be working as usual.
If you had unlinked the accounts, please try relinking them and try to sync your information.
How do I connect my Fitbit account with another app?
It's also recommendable to have both apps, (MyFitnessPal and Fitbit) up to date to have better results ,
Please don't hesitate to contact us again, should you need further assistance.
As the situation have been solved I'm going to close this thread.
More about the update of MyFitnessPal can be found here: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044075851-Fitbit-Issues-5-26

I have been using Fitbit syncing with MyFitnessPal to log food intakes. It has been working fine. However, just today (5/24), Fitbit adds extra calories to what is logged in MyFitnessPal. Only the data for today is wrong, all data from days prior has remained synced correctly.
I have gone through the process of disconnecting the 2 apps, logging out of both apps, logging back into both apps, re-connecting the apps. The extra calories seem to be randomly added.
Any fix?
update: since the above post, I've updated to iOS 13.5, uninstalled the Fitbit app, reinstalled the app. And now, it has stopped syncing with MyFitnessPal.

I've just updated my Fitbit however, after this update my food logs from MyFitnessPal stopped being synced to Fitbit. Could the latest update have affected this?

I’ve been pairing the Fitbit and MyFitnessPal apps together, so that I put my food details into MFP and then they pull through to the Fitbit app. This worked fine until sometime after lunch today... when the MFP data stopped pulling in. (Fitbit step data is still pulling into the MFP app though!) I tried to manually edit the food log in MFP to add dinner calories, but it gets stuck while loading the “edit log” screen.
Im not sure if it’s because of overall iOS sync issues or what? I’ve already uninstalled the Fitbit app and reinstalled, but no luck...
(Everything else seems to be working though - steps, activities, head rate, etc.)

Just noticed this as well.

Doesn't work the other way around either. MFP doesn't add calories for exercise logged in Fitbit. I'm OK for today because it's a reiteration of yesterday, but it's difficult keep on track with losing weight without the data.

Same - only started happening today- was fine yesterday.

I've tried reconnecting but it's not working - any ideas?

Yep, I've got the exact same issue, same timeframe as well. Incredibly frustrating as the food log on the Fitbit app isn't as good as the My Fitness Pal log.

Same problem. After lunch yesterday, my food log quit syncing. I revoked access and reconnected as suggested.
This is not only on the app, but also on the dashboard online. That makes me think it is not related to the iOS update.

Until this morning, my calories won’t transfer between the apps. Everything has been fine until this morning. I’ve disconnected everything as the steps advise, anyone else having issues?

We would know for certain if Google users chimed in.

MFP and Fitbit stopped syncing in both directions since about 1104am UK time
Disconnecting & reconnecting apps does not clear the issue

Hi! I have just done a workout and noticed that the calorie adjustment hasn't updated on MFP. When I've checked, it hadn't updated since 9.30am. I've had a look through previous comments of the same thing and have done the following steps as advised by Fitbit on a previous post:
- Logged out of both MFP and Fitbit on my device
- Logged out of Fitbit on the computer
- Disconnected Fitbit from MFP on a computer
- Logged out of MFP
- Logged back in to MFP and reconnected Fitbit
- Logged into Fitbit to allow all permissions and it's successfully connected
- Logged back into both apps on my phone
The 2 still are not sending data to each other but it's definitely connected. I also track food on Fitbit as it's more accurate in terms of cals remaining and the food input to MFP has not logged on Fitbit. I've checked on the apps and also the desktop sites on a PC and neither have updated.
I have a Fitbit Charge 3 (only bought a couple of months ago) and Samsung Galaxy S10E.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks 🙂
Lisa

I always put my food intake into My Fitness Pal, which pushes the information into Fitbit (frankly, it's more user friendly to do it that way.) Since last night, the information has not come through to Fitbit AND the steps are not pushing into My Fitness Pal.

Since around midday yesterday Fitbit has not synced any food from MFP for me. I've got my breakfast, lunch and part of my snacks in there but nothing after that and nothing so far for today. MFP seems to be pulling in my steps from Fitbit just fine though.

Similar issue here, mfp food diary not syncing to the fitbit app, weird as it was working fine yesterday. My step count is wrong on mfp too, showing under 2k steps vs 10k+ shown on my charge 3

Yeah mine was working fine yesterday too! Fitbit is syncing fine, the watch and app information match up but just won't sync with MFP at all. Let me know if you manage to sort it 🙂
