Fitbit Update: 5/26

Hi, MFP users!

We're aware of the syncing issues from MyFitnessPal. Your MFP data may not be syncing over to the Fitbit app at this time. MyFitnessPal is aware of the problem and you can read more on their website here: Fitbit Issues 5/26

Thought I was losing it there for a bit, I've done SO many uninstall, reinstall, log out, log back in, disconnect, reconnect attempts since yesterday eve! Glad it's a known issue, thanks for the heads up!

Up until midday yesterday my fitbit was pulling the calorie data from myfitnesspal perfectly fine and then it just stopped. I uninstalled and reinstalled both apps on the other app. I also restarted my charge 3. Nothing is working. Any advice?

I am having the same issue. My steps are syncing to myfitnesspal,  but my food log and water is not syncing over to my fitbit to see if I am over or under budget on calories.

Best Answer

yes. things are going from fitbit to mfp but not mfp to fitbit.

I've moved a bunch of posts from hardware to the third party thread in this subject.

Thoughts? As mentioned above @emp0986 please contact MFP

I'm having this same problem on my Charge 2.  Super frustrating.  Hope they are looking for a fix for this.

"Fitbit adds extra calories to what is logged in MyFitnessPal. "

I've had this issue on and off for months.  I received a non-answer when I reported it, I Don't think they understood what I was explaining so now I just deal with it.

I've just moved a few more posts out of the unrelated android board.

Please look at the best answer. As with most third party apps, if there is an issue, you want to contact them, bit fitbit.

MFP says they are working on this.

Good morning!

Since yesterday I am experiencing difficulties with synching the nutrition I logged in MFP to the Fitbit app. I restarted my Fitbit, I disconnected the both apps from each other, I reinstalled the Fitbit app and did these steps twice. I literally tried everthing I've read here in the community.

Does someone knows how to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Mine is syncing again, no action from my side. Guess they fixed it at MFP?

The problem seems to be with MFP. Check out the following thread that has updates from Fitbit:

It seems this is a problem at the MFP end that they are aware of. See the following thread which has updates from Fitbit:

For me, some food data has synched to Fitbit, but not all, and no steps synched the other way to MFP. No update for 17 hrs on the MFP pist about the issue.

I've got the same problem since yesterday. This morning I noticed that yesterday's calories have been synced all at once overnight.

Hi Nataliër,

Thanks for your response! I've seen it as well and there was someone else letting me know that there were issuew from MFP end they were aware of. So no need to worry after all. I am wayyyy to dependent on apps hahaha.

Have a great day!

Hi everyone! Thanks for your comments and information. The MyFitnessPal Team have updated the information regarding this situation:

"Update: We have implemented some fixes on our end and are working through the backlog now. There will still be delays in the sync until this work is finished. Please do not unlink/relink your accounts as this will increase the number of requests in the backlog."

More about this and updates will be publish here or you can check the MyFitnessPal information site: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044075851-Fitbit-Issues-5-26

We'll be updating this thread as soon as we receive more information about it.

We appreciate your understating and patience.
