MyFitnessPal is aware of an issue with its Fitbit integration. You can read more here.

Until this issue is resolved, you can expect these two platforms to not sync with one another. We will update this thread when they resolve this issue.

I'm having a similar issue. My apps were communicating with no issues for about a month. Then the other day MyFitnessPal stopped registering steps with my Fitbit Surge. When I unsync and then resync it adds the steps, however after that it won't update. I've done this resyncing several times, does anyone have any advice on how to clear this up once and for all?

I am having the same problem.  It started yesterday.  Hopefully they will solve issue soon.

MFP team has posted a great article...waiting for FitBit team to respond/inform us as well. They seem to be slow to acknowledge as best I can tell.

I have had my Fitbit and my fitness pal connected and syncing my steps for over a year now. But for some reason starting yesterday my steps are not syncing into the fitness pal app. I have tried multiple things to fix it and have also contacted mfp to see if they have a solution. Anyone else having problems? Any suggestions?

Never mind. As soon as I sent my previous comments in it started syncing. Thanks

Per MFP's update:

The fitbit integration should now be recovering. While there will be a backlog of sync requests to work through, things should slowly be getting back to normal.

My steps from fitbit charge 2 are also not syncing with MFP. This started on April 16, 2017 for me and a number of days after updating to the new firmware. I would like answers too....

@pattyjoy -- I got the firmware update a couple of days ago and noticed yesterday that my steps/activity did not sync over to MFP as it had in the past.  I revoked MFP access to my Fitbit account and then linked them back up and the transfer started working again.  @RobertoME has set out the steps for doing all there here.
