I've been a Fitbit user with a Premium membership for more than 5 years now, so I've got a lot of health metric data invested into this platform.
However, I discovered the revival of the Pebble Watch a while ago and I purchased a Pebble Time 2 watch. It's a great piece of tech and I think I might prefer it to the Sense watch I've been wearing for the past few years, but there doesn't seem to be any way to add this device into the Fitbit app.
Does anyone think that a third party device like this might ever be able to be added to the Fitbit app? I keep seeing in my searches that Fitbit had acquired the original Pebble company before Fitbit was in turn acquired by Google. So I'm not sure if that makes things more likely or less likely at this point...
I'm probably out of luck since I'm sure Google wants to push users to it's own devices rather than spend resources helping third party integrations, but it's a real shame. I love the style of the Pebble watch, but I'm so deeply invested in my Fitbit experience that I don't want to lose it.
Think there's any hope?
