No Traditional Chinese character and emojis in text notification?

I just bought a fitbit surge and found that it has no Traditional Chinese characters in the whatsapp text notification? Neither do the emojis can be displayed....

Well, i didn't expect this to be happened to be honest!

 

Please get the firmware update to enhance your database and fix the issues, thanks!

It is not a bug. The trackers will not show symbols at all. They don't show up in texts in my car's bluetooth system either. I would not expect that Fitbit will address this any time soon.
