Peloton activities won't sync with Fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My peloton activities are no longer showing in my Fitbit app?  All worked on Monday 5th Aug, but not 6th or 7th Aug?

Fitbit says its a Peloton issue and won't help.  Suggest we may all need to go to another provider.  Very dissapointing.

I got the same email. My workout sync without disconnecting/ reconnecting on the bike. Actually, my outdoor walking synced yesterday without any issue. Yay!

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

Thanks to all of you for your continued reports, and the steps that you've tried prior to posting. While I'm glad some of you sorted this out, I understand this isn't the case for everyone and I'd like to suggest the following steps to see if they work:

  1. Remove access of Peloton on the Fitbit app
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone
  3. Open the Fitbit app and try reintegrating with Peloton
  4. Then, try syncing all your details to see if it starts to work

Please make sure that both, Peloton app and the Fitbit app, are updated to the latest version.

This doesn't work. It didn't worm 2 weeks ago, and it doesn't work now.

I followed these steps exactly and my exercise says still will not work.

I'm not sure if you have health connect still connected. I disconnected peloton on my fitbit app. Disconnected and removed health connect. Restarted my phone. Then I disconnected fitbit on my peloton bike and reconnected before my workout. See if any of this helps you. It fixed the problem. Initially when it fixed the problem, it was only for the day. Once fixed it showed my stats. Now it only shows that I did a workout and the time I worked out. It doesn't show other stats but it's at least connecting.

I will say, the last time I worked out was Sunday and it connected without
issues but not today. So guessing it's not working anymore.

Yes.  I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work.  Everything was working fine for years.  Then, Fitbit suddenly stopped importing the Peloton data.  I changed nothing, so clearly, something broke on your end.  Lots of people have this problem, but we aren't getting answers or solutions.

I did the exact steps you posted,

Remove access of Peloton on the Fitbit app

Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone

Open the Fitbit app and try reintegrating with Peloton

Then, try syncing all your details to see if it starts to work

After doing that it didn't work. Two days ago or randomly started working but only for about 24 hours. It's back to not syncing even though nothing was changed.

Yeah. I'm sorry! I'm in the same boat. Worked for like a week and then
stopped again.

Hi there,

How did you disconnect and reconnect? I revoked access and now there is no way for me to reconnect it seems.

Best Answer
It won't reconnect from fitbit app. You'll need to connect it from peloton.

I disconnected the Fitbit app on my peloton bike screen and then
reconnected it.

It was a while ago since I had to do this but once that happens the peloton
connection should show up on the Fitbit app.

I revoked the peloton app originally per my Fitbit conversation when the
not syncing issue started on the Fitbit app and it was gone until I did the
above.

Same! I finally got it to work again. I've tried all the steps again and I can't get it to work again.

I don't know why it worked yesterday but not today.

Normally I wouldn't question the advice given by what are generally the experts in the product (i.e. the manufacturers) and in this case therefore Fitbit/Google.  However, given the frankly disastrous support that Fitbit/Google are giving in general and the mess of their app/infrastructure, then I have to surmise the solution of "disconnect and reconnect Peloton" is just wrong.  He's my thinking.....

On my iOS device, the Fitbit app shows all of my Peloton activities, without any problem at all.  I suggest therefore that the integration between Peloton and backend Fitbit servers is working properly.  Now, unless Fitbit/Google have a completely wonky backend design (which to be fair, I wouldn't put past them), given that the Android app doesn't show the Peloton exercises, I assume this is a problem with the Android Fitbit app and Fitbit backend.

Attached are two screenshots, showing the same day (today).  iOS Fitibit app screenshot shows a Peloton exercise.  Android Fitbit app doesn't.  Go figure?

I am using Health Connect and it shows it has synced with both Pelaton and Fitbit, but still my activities are syncing with Fitbit. It's super annoying.

Found a setting that may help. In the Fitbit App, from the today page, click user icon, Fitbit settings.

Scroll to Services, Health Connect on Today

Click radial button for Show data from Health Connect (default is Fitbit only)

Good news I have my Peloton workout bad news I was wearing my Fitbit Charge also so I have two workouts for the same activity.  But that is an easy fix for next time.

I stopped checking to see if it was syncing but while I was logging in to
follow your steps, I saw that fitbit recognized my morning workout. Let's
see if it'll last..
