4/7 Update: This should now be resolved, and Facebook integration should now be working normally. If you are still having trouble, please consult this help article for tips on connecting with your Facebook friends. Thanks everyone for your patience while we worked to correct this issue!
4/6 Update: We have a fix in place which will resolve this issue, and it is being prepared to roll out into production. I'll post again once that happens, but it shouldn't be long!
We are aware of an issue preventing Fitbit users from linking with their Facebook accounts, and producing the following error. This may also prevent users from searching for friends via Facebook if their accounts are already linked.
Our team is currently investigating this issue, and we're working to return this functionality to normal behavior. If you see this error, please note that there is nothing wrong with your tracker itself. We'll post another update here as soon as we have news regarding a resolution.

I am having the same problem. Just got my fitbit today - first time trying to set it up. Very discouraging since I was looking forward to connecting with Facebook friends and doing challenges together.

I'm having the same issue. Perhaps the connectivity is down between fitbit and facebook? I can't seem to figure it out. I've even tried different browsers and turned off pop ups.
Edit: I keep getting a message "one of these accounts is already linked." I deleted the app from my facebook. Re-connected, same message.

Just set mine up, and it will not connect to fb either. What's up? and why has there been no reply from a fitbit rep???

I just purchased my ulta and am unable to connect to fb friends via my iPhone, Samsung Ellipse or online. All 3 ways to utilize fitbit app or fitbit.com and neither of them will work, keep saying error unable to connect to facebook. this is frustrating and I see it's been going on now since at least January?. 😞 when will there be an update for the app?

I'm gutted, I just received my Fitbit flex today but am having problems connecting to Facebook, it said I had connected properly then it came up and said cannot connect. I'm really annoyed as I wanted to add my friends xxx

Since 2012 I have had a Zip, One and Charge - I have never been able to connect my Fitbit account to facebook.

Bad timing I'm afraid. There seems to be a system wide problem with connection to facebook at the moment. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
