4/7 Update: This should now be resolved, and Facebook integration should now be working normally. If you are still having trouble, please consult this help article for tips on connecting with your Facebook friends. Thanks everyone for your patience while we worked to correct this issue!
4/6 Update: We have a fix in place which will resolve this issue, and it is being prepared to roll out into production. I'll post again once that happens, but it shouldn't be long!
We are aware of an issue preventing Fitbit users from linking with their Facebook accounts, and producing the following error. This may also prevent users from searching for friends via Facebook if their accounts are already linked.
Our team is currently investigating this issue, and we're working to return this functionality to normal behavior. If you see this error, please note that there is nothing wrong with your tracker itself. We'll post another update here as soon as we have news regarding a resolution.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!

Hi, @Tracey64 , I'm not trying to fob you (or anybody) off... I don't work for Fitbit: I'm just active in the forums and I try to help people, where I can, with issues they are having. In this case I really only know what I read. You are correct: there have certainly been sporadic reports about issues with FB, but usually quickly resolved, and I suspect (though I don't know) they were different issues. All I know is, a couple of days ago suddenly there were multiple posts on every forum about this issue, indicating this was now affecting all trackers on all platforms, so I take it that something new was triggered a couple of days ago. A Fitbit moderator was pretty quick to confirm there was an issue and they were working on it.

Hi, all, the reason this thread is marked as "solved" is because someone added this new problem, which started a few days ago, onto an older thread (where the problem was solved).
The engineers are aware and are working on a fix.

I am trying to link my fitbit to facebook but I keep getting an error saying "Unable to create facebook account" I have deleted the app, reinstalled it, got the same password and email address as my facebook, deleted my facebook app and reinstalled, checked the settings for allowing access and all is fine. Please can someone help me and tell me how to connect so I can add my friends. Many thanks

Thanks for stopping by sweetie @Hailey23 ! I'd recommend taking a look at this thread to see if every steps is being covered in order to connect with Facebook.
If after checking this your account are still not working, I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support directly. They'll be more than glad to give you a hand on this!
Don't lose the hope yet my friend, have a great day!

My fiance, myself and my son all got a Blaze on Friday and we are all 3 having the same issue. It is very frustrating for the price we paid for these.
I have 14 days to return it if this problem is not fixed by then.

Hello @ITSMEJD and welcome aboard to our community my friend. If you have revoke the access of Facebook from your Fitbit account. Please try to revoke the access directly from your Facebook account too by going to your app settings. If you have updated your app recently please try the following:
1. Log out from your Fitbit account and double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen.
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Reopen the Fitbit app and try again.
Keep me posted how it goes and see ya around.

Hi everyone!
I'm experiencing this issue as well! 😞
When I click on connect Facebook, this pops out:
"Unable to link your Facebook and Fitbit accounts together. Please try again later."
Any kind soul has a solution for this?
Thank you!

Ok. So after searching the forums, I've tried every solution I could possibly find and any other solution I could use my troubleshooting skills to do, to fix this issue, but I still cannot find any solutions, and tech support has been completely useless.
I created my Fitbit account usuing my facebook login info and whatnot, which worked just find. I got into my account and went to the friends list and went to the facebook tab to "Connect Facebook" to use my friends list, as a have several facebook friends who use fitbit. I get this error after every single troubleshooting method I could find: "Unable to link your Facebook and Fitbit accounts together. Please try again later." Ironically, when I goto my facebook, after accepting the permissions when trying to add facebook to my fitbit, although fitbit refuses to connect the two together, my facebook apps all of a sudden add fitbit no problem to it's permissions list. Which makes this even more frustrating.
Here is a list of the solutions Ive attempted:
1. Unlink fitbit permission to my facbeook in my facebook apps list... no dice
2. Create a new fitbit account and add my facebook... no dice
3. Use a different facebook account to connect to my fitbit account... no dice
4. Attempt to perform all above steps using Windows 10 app, Google Chrome, IE, iPhone app, and iPad app... no dice
5. Clear my cache and all my history in both browsers, perform all above steps... no dice
6. Contact customer support... no freaking dice
*as a side note, when I goto my Fitbit account and goto 'Applications,' Facebook is never added on there, regardless of my facebook thinking it's connected**
**Customer support keeps e-mailing me back with the same solution: click "connect facebook." It's like they aren't even reading my trouble ticket or whats already been done.**
Does anyone, by any stroke of luck, maybe have any solution they might be able to propose? Because tech support has be absolutely useless, and are literally copy and pasting solutions based off of the title of my ticket, rather than actually reading what troubleshooting has already occurred.
Thank you in advance to anyone who might have any solution to try.
