We are aware of an issue preventing Fitbit users from linking with their Facebook accounts, and producing the following error. This may also prevent users from searching for friends via Facebook if their accounts are already linked.

Our team is currently investigating this issue, and we're working to return this functionality to normal behavior. If you see this error, please note that there is nothing wrong with your tracker itself. We'll post another update here as soon as we have news regarding a resolution.

It's nice to see our Community is growing @nan1013! Welcome my friend! This is weird...why don't you try following the steps provided in this post? Make sure your Internet connection is working correctly on both your mobile device and computer. If it doesn't work on your computer try using a different browser.

Hi there I am trying to connect my flex to my facebook and it keeps telling me it cannot connect because one account is already connected. So do I need to change my email account so it is not the same one for both my fitbit and my facebook?

My fit bit Alta is not connecting to my FB although it says I already gave fit bit permission to access fb. Help! This is frustrating after trying to set up my fit bit for 3 hours yesterday! So far, not a good impression... In starting to think I should have gone with my gut and bought an Apple Watch.

I just got my Fitbit March 30. Today I tried to connect to fb using the app and on Fitbit.com and both say unable to create fb account? Is anyone else having issues or can anyone help me out! Thanks in advance!

Lots of others are having this issue. Haven't seen a work around yet.

Yup, having the same issue.  What's funny is that I got an email from Fitbit telling me to try synching with Facebook!  LOL

Facebook says my Fitbit is linked but Fibit says it is not. Anyone know how to link them?

When I click on the fb button to synch it, on the fb app it says "you already authorized Fitbit" gives me the option to click okay or cancel and when I click okay it goes back to the Fitbit app and says "unable to creat facebook account".
Kind of frustrating.

Hi all FB just will not sync with my iPhone on iOS9. Have reauthorised, reset passwords and tried on my laptop dashboard too. Looking back this seems an ongoing issue. Is there any way to do this even if it is a long and complicated one! Thanks

I have just tweeted them, they say "a few days". (Prime embarrassment and visible to all).  I suspect that is optimistic....lets see. I hope it does, we've all wasted hours on this, and communication from Fitbit has been poor in my opinion.

I am unable to connect to my Facebook account to add friends in the FitBit app. When I select Connect Facebook, I receive the message; Unable to create facebook account... The Facebook settings in my phone are set to allow changes from FitBit. I have updated my iOS, Facebook app, Fitbit app. Not sure how to correct this issue.
