4/7 Update: This should now be resolved, and Facebook integration should now be working normally. If you are still having trouble, please consult this help article for tips on connecting with your Facebook friends. Thanks everyone for your patience while we worked to correct this issue!

4/6 Update: We have a fix in place which will resolve this issue, and it is being prepared to roll out into production. I'll post again once that happens, but it shouldn't be long!

We are aware of an issue preventing Fitbit users from linking with their Facebook accounts, and producing the following error. This may also prevent users from searching for friends via Facebook if their accounts are already linked.

Our team is currently investigating this issue, and we're working to return this functionality to normal behavior. If you see this error, please note that there is nothing wrong with your tracker itself. We'll post another update here as soon as we have news regarding a resolution.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!

Would really love to be able to use this feature

Every time I try to connect to Facebook it will not connect. I've tried going into Facebook app and deleting the Fitbit authorization and tried to re connect Fitbit to Facebook to add friends and still keeps saying there was a problem.

I'm sure that there is a thread for this but I really don't want to search for it. I have a new Charge HR and attempted to integrate Facebook through both the app and my browser online. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it?

I'm trying to sync my Facebook so I can add Fitbit friends, but it keeps saying can't create Facebook account. I have an account and both apps already have permission to sync but it won't connect.

After my last post regarding the linking issue with Facebook, I've realised that this channel is growing tremendously. Perhaps we are suppose to link up with one another here............ 🙂

I'm having the same issue here FWIW.

Having the same issue here without fitbit trying to solve it.

Maybe we should mass return our fitbit and make a statement.

Whether you try to link from the app or from the website dashboard it gives the same error.

It's been more than a week most people are having this issue.

Maybe we give them 3 days and return the fitbit for malfunctioning.

The last update about this issue is from 3/31. It is now 4/6. I recently set up my Blaze and wanted to link my FB account and cannot. Seems like this is still an issue. Is there any progress with this?

I am having this same problem and based on others it looks like Fitbit has said they are working on this since August 2015. Frustrated that I can't do challenges with my friends.
