4/7 Update: This should now be resolved, and Facebook integration should now be working normally. If you are still having trouble, please consult this help article for tips on connecting with your Facebook friends. Thanks everyone for your patience while we worked to correct this issue!
4/6 Update: We have a fix in place which will resolve this issue, and it is being prepared to roll out into production. I'll post again once that happens, but it shouldn't be long!
We are aware of an issue preventing Fitbit users from linking with their Facebook accounts, and producing the following error. This may also prevent users from searching for friends via Facebook if their accounts are already linked.
Our team is currently investigating this issue, and we're working to return this functionality to normal behavior. If you see this error, please note that there is nothing wrong with your tracker itself. We'll post another update here as soon as we have news regarding a resolution.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!

I've tried a few times to connect my fitbit account with facebook. On the app, it says that one of my accounts is already connected. So I checked fitbit, and my account is not connected to facebook. I checked my facebook, and it's not connected to any fitbit. I tried the fitbit website and get the generic error of "please try again later". Some help with this issue would be nice

Glad a fix is coming, but honestly shocked by how many people were freaking out over this and threatening to get rid of their Fitbit... did y'all buy it to be "cool" and socialize online, or did you buy it to get fit and healthy?!?! (it is called Fitbit afterall, not SocialMediaBit)... Some people's priorities... jeez... It is as if the world stops spinning if they can't be connected to social media 24/7. TRY BEING SELF-MOTIVATED! Finally, thank you Fitbit team for the hard work!

I'm happy that a fix is coming. I just got a Blaze and it has been frustrating that I only have two friends that I have been able to connect with because my other friends with Fitbit connect via Facebook. Interestingly, one friend was able to connect with me via Facebook (he showed me on his phone), but I couldn't connect with him via Facebook. (He has had a fitbit flex for over a year.)
The social part of this is very important, and is a definite differentiator vs. other fitness trackers. That's THE reason I got a Fitbit vs. a Jawbone or Misfit. Only one of my friends/relatives has a Misfit and one a Jawbone, but everyone else that I know who has a tracker has a Fitbit.

After not being able to link for sometime now. I was able to go to the Fitbit website and click "Add Friends" and it finally linked the accouts. No deleting apps, or uninstalling from facebook, or returning of device required.Maybe they've started rolling out that fix.

Ok. Now I can see my Facebook friends. Why can't I share under the sharing settings to Facebook? Right now Twitter is the only available method to share workouts and stats.

Hmmm, I see other people are able to make it work. Mine is still getting errors on both iOS and through a desktop browser.
Maybe I'm not as lucky as everyone. Hmmm.
I've already missed this weeks challenge with my friends. I would like to make it for the weekend one.... Best of luck FitBit.

I am not able to sync my Facebook Account with my Fitbit App. On the app it says 'Can not create facebook account.' Through the website it tells me that it 'Unable to link your Facebook and Fitbit accounts together. Please try again later.'
