Hello, I have been using MFP for about 10 years and have been manually calculating and entering my exercise calories. I got a Fitbit and synced it with MFP, but can see it is sending over the total calories burned (BMR, calories from walking, etc.) I only want my exercise calories sent to MFP. For now I have unsynched it. Also, if there is a way to sync only active minutes, I would take that. I would prefer actual exercise minutes over active minutes if possible. If not I guess I'll keep doing it the old fashioned way 🙂 ! Thanks

Hi
Take a look at this link.
It explains what can be linked between MFP and Fitbit ie steps are synced but not exercise from the fitbit to the MFP.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Kate. That posting looks dated as it says the only data that can be transferred from FB to MFP is steps and weight. I know calories can transferred (maybe new since that posting), but I only want a certain type of calorie or activity.

It used to only send over activity calories but I'm having the same problem as you are. I did a short 10 minute workout this morning but my Fitbit has sent an exercise adjustment of 2,027 calories over to MyFitnessPal! I've used the two together in the past and didn't have this issue - I would only get the extra calories earned through exercise sent over - but today I suddenly find myself with 3x the amount of calories I'd budgeted for myself for a 10 minute work out 😛

Well I guess that's one way of kidding yourself you've worked out enough that day!
I actually had to uninstall MyFitness Pal - it was seriously screwing up Fitbit. 🙂

I disabled the integration and have gone back to manually entering my calories into MFP. It would be a nice feature enhancement to be able to filter which calories are sent over.
