Should I take off my Fitbit Flex 2 when I'm running with my Apple Watch 2?

Hi

I've been looking around the forum and can't quite get the answer I require.

My health insurance company recently gave me an Apple Watch 2. A sales promotion to get more people active. Anyway, I took the bait and now own a Nike+ running watch.

I've been a happy owner of Fitbits for a couple of years, and I always wear it. I only use the AW when I'm working out, playing sports or running.

My question is; to ensure I get a correct reading of my activity, should I remove my Fitbit when running with my AW. My concern is that I may be duplicating my steps. I'm not confident that that various app will work out the difference and correct them.

Any assistance would be appreicated.

Thanks

Ray

Hello there @RayRayUK! Thanks for stepping into the Forums.

In your Fitbit account is in some way linked to your Apple Health app, or other app that receives the information from your Apple Watch 2, I'd recommend to remove one of them while using the other. If both accounts are completely separate, there is no need to remove them and you could potentially use them together.

I hope you found this information useful!

Thanks for getting back to me.

That makes sense. Yes, I use a third party app to sync all my wearable tech to Apple Health.

All the best
