Stop Uploading my PRIvate info to my insurance company

Why is FitBit uploading my private data to my health insurance company?  I never gave permission for that, nor did I ever tell you WHO was my health insurance.  How do I stop this invasion of my privacy?

As fitbit users we @MarlaKay3451 will not know why, in general there should have been some agreement that was agreed to when setting the link up.

I'm not sure how helpful your apps control page will be but this is where the link to your insurance can be broken. You will also find a link to the insurance company.

In general Fitbit does not send data to third parties, Fitbit has setup an API (Application Programming Interface) which allows a third party to retrieve what they and the user has agreed to.

Therefore when it comes to data transferred to a third party, from fitbits end we can either allow or deny the third party (insurance company) access to your account.

The best course I would recommend is to take this up with the insurance company.

Thank you so much.  I will try what you suggested.  If that doesn't work, I'll contact the insurance company....  Appreciate the advice!!!!

I understand you, dear. Indeed, it is a strange situation, really I know that Fitbit does not send data to third parties, it has set up an API which allows a third party to retrieve what they and the user has agreed to. But frankly speaking, I would advise you to ask for help and to take this up directly with your insurance company. They will advise you on how to proceed according to this issue. For many years we are insured with our whole family at lifeinsurancehelpdesk.com and I always ask them if I had some doubts, according to my protection and the security of my data and personal information.
