Switching to Google was the biggest mistake I've made lately!

Today I switched from the FitBit login to the Google login and I ALREADY regret it!  First of all, Alexa will not work. It says "connection lost" and tells me to sync the device in the fitbit mobile app.  Problem #2!!!!!  Synching does not work. I have rebooted the watch, logged out and back in on the app.  This watch has gone from a valuable asset to me, to a worthless piece of added arm weight!  I hear you can't go back to Fitbit once you've gone over to Google and that's really sad.  Fitbit was working flawlessly!!!!!  Also my third party temperature app does not work.

When it comes to Alexa and third party apps, they still are connected to your old login and will need to be setup again.

I did this inadvertently. I've now lost all my fitbit walking friends who haven't made the mistake I did and ate still on Fitbit. Not very happy that I can't go back. 😕

I agree. Had I known that you could not switch back, I would have never switched to Google. The switch has really taken the fun out of having the Fitbit watch and I actually think the app was fat better than google.

I agree. Certain things no longer work, but the main problem is losing all my walking friends. We are all very competitive and I'm struggling with motivation now. Sent from Samsung Mobile on O2

What's strange is that they took away some of of the biggest assets to Fitbit like the groups, challenges and badges that people use for motivation and advice, then hyped up switching to Google, which so far, has been the worst thing ever.

I believe that's why they made it so you can't switch back because if the option existed, most people would switch back. Trickery on their part.

So now we all have to figure out ways to stay motivated when the Fitbit app had successfully allowed for such.

I'm not sure how someone can accidentally switch, we also are warned that we can't switch back.

Whole some problems have been mentioned, the friendship issue I only see here

Hi, accidentally switched because I was tired, in a rush, needed to get my walk done before a very busy day and so didn't realise the implications of friends not migrating. Also, map feature no longer works when I use the walk exercise mode. However, it's dome now, so I have to put up and shut up. 🙄CheersLiz. Sent from Samsung Mobile on O2

Can you tell us where the warning was. It's not on the app next to the button that says switch to Google and it really should be there for the user as a warning.

People accidentally push buttons that they really didn't mean to do all of the time. A car accidently hits another car, we accidently spill things. In that regard, yes someone can accidently click on something unintentionally or accidentally.

When typing we accidentally make mistakes like you did with the word "whole" and it should have been "while".  Human error, it's okay, I do it myself. Accidents happen.

I am going to put up or shut up right along with you and hopefully, somehow another group will be started.
