Syncing Fitbit Flex with MyFitness Pal app

So I just got my fitbit flex today. I have always recorded my food in the myfitnesspal app. And I liked the flex because it is supposed to sync with the app. I have checked it several times. The two accounts are linked together. However, the fitbit app is not seeing what my fitness pal is seeing. According to myfitnesspal I've had 1006 calories today. But when I look at the fitbit app either on the phone or the computer, it shows on my supper which was 404 calories. Where did the rest of my day go? It's still in myfitnesspal but not coming up in the fitbit. Help!!!!

I'm having the same issue, it must be something occurring today....never has occurred before. My entire breakfast and snack is missing

Me too, same problem - for both yesterday and today.  Problem seems to be with fitbit rather than myfitnesspal.  Fitbit syncing must be taking a Christmas break!  When this happened to me once before it finally corrected itself a couple of days later!

Same problem for me today as well, but as far as I can tell everything else is working so I logged all my food for the day in the dinner section on MFP and it synced over properly. (not ideal but an ok fix for now) I wonder if the extra traffic from new christmas gifts is overwhelming the app? Smiley Tongue

I am having the same problem.  My calories logged on MFP are not showing up on the dashboard.  I am missing about half.  I hope they fix the problem soon.

I am having the same problem. It will either show calories from lunch or breakfast but not both. Has anyone figured out the problem?

I'm hoping it will be fixed but until then I've deleted a re-entered and it's worked.

So I linked my two accounts but is there really a difference in what the two can do? I usually just log my food and running using MFP so what would be different if I actually just stopped using MFP and just the Fitbit app? Because thats what I'm thinking about doing...IDK. Seems like its just a hassle. What do you guys think?

Thanks Holly. That worked for me.

I really do not want to start using fitbit for my calories and running. I know the meals I make at home are easy to enter on MFP and I can easily find food when I eat at restaurants. I do not know if fitbit has as many foods/restaurants to find easily.

What is the proceedure for linking Fitbit with MFP? Does this happen from Fitbit to MFP or do first have to be in the MFP app to connect to Fitbit?
