Hi!
I just joined Fitbit a few hours ago, yay!! I already have myfitnesspal but I don't know how to have my food/calorie diary sync with my Fitbit app?? I did the sync set up, but when I reopened Fitbit, it still shows 0 calories? How can I stick to the projected calorie deficit guidelines if I can't roll over that data?
Thanks for the help! OH! One more thing...if I'm out of the country and turn my cellular data off, will Fitbit still record data?? Or is it basically useless when not in your home country? I hope not:(
Thanks again!

Hi! Welcome to the group.

I don't know what you mean by the sync set up.  If you mean syncing your bit to the phone then you still need one step to link MFP with Fitbit.  Go to your MFP home page and click on the Apps tab. Click on the Fitbit app button and you should be taken to a page that has a button to connect the two sites.  Click on that and it will walk you through the linking process.

Fitbits store about 7 days worth of data so if you are out of country for no more than that you won't lose any data. It does store up to 30 days summaries so if you are out longer than 7 days the oldest data will be overwritten (but not the summary until day 31).

So sorry! I just saw your reply!! Thank you for your help:) I was able to sync MFP and fitbit (kind of, lol). What do you mean about losing data? I was gone about 10 days, and everything seems to be there! Does it get lost even when you sync the data?? I'm confused and interested, bc we have a few trips coming up. Thanks!:)
