Syncing to Planet Fitness app

Hello world!

             Has anyone figured out how to get the fitbit back to syncing with the updated Planet Fitness App?!?!?!

            To be honest, this has basically turned me off from going to the gym because I cannot get an answer about when/if this will ever go back to being the coexistence of two apps that were happily working together in the wonderful world of apps!

             I've tried connecting Planet Fitness, only to get their automatic responses or being told to talk to someone at my gym. If I go there I get the look of "what's an app?" and told to look on line,,,which takes me back to those lovely automatic responses.

            Any information would be appreciated, as my fitbit and my planet fitness are no longer talking to each other and I think are headed for divorce....and who will take care of the kids?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your feedback on connecting and syncing your Fitbit with the Planet Fitness app. Thank you for the information that Fitbit was syncing previously with this app. I would like to advise that this app is not on the list of the compatible apps at the moment. I recommend posting your interest for this integration on our Feature Suggestions page to track interest for it. I was able to find this suggestion and you can comment and vote on the idea to show your support. You can read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.

How do I get this to the Feature Suggestions page....and originally this was a compatible app that was on the fitbit list, if I remember right. I know I was syncing up to the planet fitness app, then planet fitness decided to update at it and now divorce proceedings have begun between the planet fitness app and fitbit app....So sad how things change over time.

I totally understand how you are feeling and appreciate your efforts. From the Feature Suggestions board, click the blue button that reads 'Make a new suggestion' in the top right in order to post a new Feature Suggestion. The more votes the idea gets, the more likely it is to be considered for implementation in a future release. Thank you for your time and feedback.

I’ve had the exact issue since I updated my Planet Fitness and Fitbit apps days apart in August. I came here because a link said the answer was here, but; I don’t see an answer.

Where I live PF has the best gym options for my family, therefore; if my Fitbit is no longer working with the PF app I will reconsider purchasing 4 additional Fitbits for my family for Christmas and purchase 5 fitnesses trackers that synchronize with the PF app instead.

You mentioned the PF app is not on the list of compatible apps, however; it was on the list prior to the updates. Can you clarify if the PF app is just not currently on the list of compatible apps, but; synchronization with the PF app is being developed? Or if there are currently no plans for the Fitbit app to synchronize with the PF app in the future as it did in the past?

Finally, is there a way we can revert to the older (and better) version of our Fitbit apps that allowed us to synchronize with the PF app? I like my Fitbit, but; tracking my family’s workouts is the ultimate goal.

Your feedback is appreciated, Fitbit is always working to improve its products and services provided. The Fitbit app is open for integrations from other apps. If you don't see the option to connect Planet Fitness with your Fitbit account, I recommend you to contact them via their contact us page or customer support to encourage them to develop the connection between both apps.
