Text notifications not supported

I know the "fix" fitbit seems to be pushing is just buy a new model and have no plans to include text notification to the HR Charge,  but why did they disable the third party apps that worked?

Hello @M4WW, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. I understand your feedback about the feature to have text notifications on the Charge HR. Nonetheless the Charge HR has not the capabilities to support this feature reason why is not supported.

Prior to the last update it was available via third party apps, it seems fitbit went out of their way to disable people from doing so.

Hello @M4WW, thanks for coming back. You are right about it was possible before, nonetheless the feature was possible by non official means or related to the Fitbit functionality, reason why is not an option nowadays.
