So I recently got a Surge to replace my Flex. Love it. I use MFP to log all my foods but I am a bit confused about how workouts are seen by MFP.
The Surge allows you to log your workouts through the Surge itself, it keeps track of time spent doing the workout (whether its weight training or cardio), shows you the calorie burn you had, the steps you took and your heart rate throughout the workout. However, when you sync it to Fitbit on your device the workouts do not sync with MFP.
For instance, today I ran about 2.25 miles and the Surge said I burned 248 calories in 36 minutes. This was at 5:30 this morning. So now it's 4:32 p.m. and I've burned a total of 1541 calories. When I go into MFP, it only shows the steps I've taken (not the workout) and it shows I've only burned 515 calories. It is only taking into consideration the steps I've taken. What I'm confused about is do I need to log all my workouts into MFP as well? I would think that information from Fitbit would sync to MFP but maybe the only thing syncing is the steps?
I am always - ALWAYS hungry so I'm thinking I'm not eating enough calories in a day. Another thing that is confusing me is Fitbit will show that I have (example) 248 caloriesleft to eat at the end of the evening and the next morning Fitbit will show that I went WAY over my calorie intake. Why would it do that?
I guess I have two questions here.
So my first question is: Do I log all my workouts in MFP???
Second quetion is: Why is FB changing the calories I have leftover at the end of the day when I look at it the next day?

Ok, so there's a couple of things here.
Firstly, although your Fitbit workouts aren't specifically listed on MFP, they are taken in to account by the fitbit calorie adjustment that shows on MFP. This adjustment is the difference between what MFP thinks you should have burned vs what you've *actually* burned as measured by the Fitbit.
The calorie adjustment isn't just the values of the exercise sessions you've done. It's the difference between the MFP and Fitbit entire day predictions...
As for the calories changing at the end of the day, it's worth checking that you've got MFP and Fitbit both set to the same timezone. A lot of syncing weirdness arises when they're different...

I think your first questions needs to be sent to MFP to answer...
