Trying to link with Alexa app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My boyfriend got me the Amazon Echo dot for my birthday and I saw there was a Fitbit skill. I enabled it and it said I need to link my account. When I do and click "allow" to permit the app to share my data, it just sends me to a blank screen and the linking process just stops. I've done it from my phone and my computer and can't get it to go through. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hello @ktsecor, good to see you again in the Fitbit Community. I'm wondering if the same behavior with the blank screen is happening in both of your devices, your mobile phone and your computer?

If is your mobile phone, try to restart your mobile device and give it another try to the set up process:

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app, click on the Menu icon in the upper left (the three bars) and select Skills.

2. Select the Enable button under the Fitbit section.

3. Log in to your Fitbit account in the Alexa app.

4. Click Allow to permit Alexa to access all of your Fitbit data.

If you are doing this from your computer, try a different browser and try clearing your browser's cache. Directions on how to clear your cache on a variety of browsers can be found here: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache .

Once you have done this try one more time the following steps:

  1. your Alexa account at http://alexa.amazon.com, find the Fitbit Skill.
  2. Click or tap Enable.
  3. Log in using your Fitbit account credentials and give permission for the Alexa app to access your profile and data.

Keep me posted how it goes, I'll be around.
