Unble to link Fitbit and Withings Scale/Healthmate

Yesterday I set up my new Withings scale and the Healthmate app.  I have been trying to link the 2 together as they are supposedly compatible apps.  However, I always receive the following error: "Unable to authenticate Withings user.  WIthings server returned the following error:  Unknown status code."  I have contacted Withings and was told that the error had been fixed.  I have tried on both my laptop and my phone, cleared the cookies and cached data on both.  I still can not get it to work.  Who has had success with this and could help me out?
