Using Apple Watch with Charge 2

Hello Everyone,

I am currently using my AW (Apple Watch) Series 2 for Weight Training and HIIT routines with a chest strap. For my day to day walking and sleeping I use my Charge 2.

I sync both up to myFitnessPal. When I am done with my workout my AW uploads to MyFitnessPal and thats that for the calories lost.

Cool thing is when the fitbit recognizes that the AW uploads them the amount of steps get zero'd out. I like this since the calories burnt for that gym session should be the only thing showing.

After that I notice fitbit will calculate calories from the steps moving forward. I am just making sure that after the steps are zero'd out that the calories after the fact are from the steps after the workout and not coming back from the work out before.

Anyone use myFitnesspal this way or experienced it? Maybe Fitbit can chime in as well. Thanks!

Hello @jdiaz613 good to see you again in the Fitbit Community. Note that your calories will depend on different factors including your steps and other stats. You may see calories after the steps are zero'd out but this are result of your BMR.

As you know your BMR is the rate at which you burn calories as a result of maintaining vital body functions. These functions include breathing and heartbeat and brain activity, among others. Your BMR usually accounts for at least half of the calories you burn in a day.

Hope this helps and if you have more questions, just let me know.
