Want to purchase scale on a budget, does weight guru scale work well with fitbit?

Looking at scales - fitbit of course is most appealing & likely easiest, but does cost of weight guru scale is a great selling point. Do fitbit and the weight guru scale play well together or should double the price and go with the fitbit? Thanks!

I found this old thread that suggests they do link up ok but a moderator makes the point that it's an unofficial link that fitbit don't support:
