What does it take to get your app listed on the App Gallery?

So I created a website that will track your steps as if you were following the Pacific Crest Trail or Camino de Santiago or a few other long-distance trails--including actual photos of the trails for each section you virtually walk from the trail in question.

I clicked the option from the App Gallery to "submit your app," which is just an email address. I went ahead and did that quite awhile ago but haven't heard anything about it. How long does it take to get some sort of reply? What all should I have included in the message?

I'd really like to see more people using my site and it does work with Fitbit devices--but how do I get it added to the App Gallery?

Thanks!

Hi Ryan.

What a site you have created. That must have cost you many hours. I joined yesterday and I think it is great.

Thanks! 😃

I'm still waiting to find out how to get it added to the App Gallery! How else is everyone else going to know about such an awesome website? 😃 Seems like there would be a lot of interest for it among those with Fitbits. Hopefully someday I'll get it on there. *fingers crossed*

I don't understand why you need an app, besides the commercial, of cause.

I did make an announcement in the Fitbit group I am member of, so maybe the word will spread Woman Very Happy

Yes, that's pretty much it. I do want people to use my site--but they have to know about it in order to use it! 😃 Fitbit created a section on their website for other websites that interact with their Fitbit data--I'm not really sure how many people even look at it, but it certainly can't hurt to get Walking4Fun.com included!

And what does Fitbit get out of the deal? Well, they get another "app" that works with their website to motivate people to walk more and keep using their pedometers by doing something that the Fitbit website doesn't do--virtual hiking!

So basically.... yeah, I'd like it included for the publicity value. 😃
