Will Strava pick up my heart rate if I am not in Ride mode?

If I am using Strava on my iPhone to log a ride and have my Surge on my wrist with Heart Rate on auto and the link to Strava established will Strava pick up my heart rate if I am not in Ride mode? I ask because this would mean that I am not using GPS on Surge and therefore saving battery.

@lidzau It's nice to see you around! When you link Strava and Fitbit, your Fitbit activities will appear on Strava and your runs and rides tracked by Strava will contribute to your Fitbit all-day stats. However, heart rate won't sync to Strava.

Fitbit is always improving website and trackers, someone already mentioned about having an app that could sync your heart rate into a third-party app. You can leave any suggestion in our Ideas Board because these ideas are viewed directly by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote for them.

Hope I can continue seeing you around Smiley Happy
