I've logged out and back in from both apps. I've reinstalled both apps but still can't sync the data. I enter all caloric and weight data to MFP and try to sync steps and runs from the Fitbit app.
When I installed and reinstalled.and disconnected and reconnected, was a message asking to grant access to fitbit supposed to pop up on MFP? This pop up message has never occurred. I am using iPhone 6. Can I only connect the accounts through laptop? I've only been trying to connect the 2 apps through the iPhone.

I have moved your question to Third Party Integration as you are more likely to get help here. When I was using MFP I worked through my tablet and phone, so it 'should' work via your iphone (I think!)

Does anyone have any suggestions? With both MFP and Fitbit I have I installed and reinstalled. I have logged in and logged out. The "Allow" button has never popped up when I connect the apps. I am using an IPhone 6s. Do I need to do this through a laptop instead?
I don't get it. I am comfortable with most technology, but these two apps will not sync/connect for me.

I've been having the same trouble recently and haven't been able to figure it out.
If you've found any solution, please let me know.

No solution, but I've been having issues as well. Highly annoying! Have reinstalled and everything, but fitbit isn't syncing with hydrocoach either, so I'm guessing it's a fitbit issue.

Hello @Face73, @Rgbymn32 and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for your help in moving this post to the correct board @NellyG.
With third party integrations the best troubleshooting to try is to reconnect both account. I prefer to recommend to try this from a computer. Perhaps the following post will be helpful to resolved this issue: Fitbit and MFP not syncing!
@Valalilly note that Hydro Coach is not a compatible integration, however it syncs with MFP. So if MFP is failing you the information wont go through either.
