just trying to figure out how to get myfitnesspal the calories burned thats reading from my fit bit

Hi all,
My partner and I have just bought fitbit flexs,it's all been set up but we're confused about the calories? As we burn calories it's taking them off our allowance,where as on my fitness pal as you burn them you get more to use??? Are we doing something wrong or just being really dumb? If someone could please get back to me I'd really appreciate it 🙂
