fitbit versus myfitnesspal for logging workouts

I'm not sure if it's better to log burpees and the elliptical in myfitnesspal or to just let the fitbit track it.  I just got off the elliptical for the second time today, and my dashboard shows 108 active minutes, altough was on it for about two hours both times and did 100 burpees.  I don't get it.  I can't tell if my calories burned are accurate.  Any feedback would be appreciated.

I hope you are doing great today @SunsetRunner! It's great to hear that you are using your tracker and My Fitness Pal to track your daily progress. To answer your question, I suggest you manually log this activities on MFP in order to register accurate data, since the tracker is specifically designed to track stepped based activities while you move forward.

Give this a try and let me know if you have any other questions. Woman Happy

Thank you! The problem I have with logging the calories in MFP is that the calorie burn registers too high. I was using a Polar heart rate monitor before getting the fitbit… wearing a strap, with a heart rate monitor attached, and I used the calorie burn calculated there for the MFP log. IF I use what MFP says I burn, I’ll end up eating much more food, thinking I’ve burned hundreds of calories more than I actually have. That’s where I got confused, but I see that MFP pulls calories burned from fitbit. I’ll see how it works out today. If it seems inaccurate, fitbit might not be the tracker for me, since I’m not a runner.

Thank you for the feedback.
