how to log food/my fitness pal?

I have a flex, have been using it to track steps, and am now ready to track food.  I have tried for several days to track each meal and find it tedious, innacurate, and not really reflecting how I eat.  I have heard that My Fitness Pal is easier and more accurate and they can be linked.  I would love to hear from others what is the easiest and most accurate method.  I try to eat 'clean' and see that a banana on one is twice the calories as a banana on the other.  I don't need it to be perfect, but easy and reasonably accurate would be nice.

What is the best way to track food?  And also, the best way to see calories used? (is that ever accurate?)

Thanks for your help

Hi @Bobbinyc - I have been using MFP for a couple of years and it's great! I started with MFP before I ever had a Fitbit, but now I have linked them and they integrate perfectly. All food gets logged in the MFP app, but that is all I do with that. All exercise happens on the Fitbit side, but the information syncs back and forth, so my exercise feeds to MFP and my calories eaten feeds to Fitbit. Right now, there is an issue with Fitbit on the food coming over from MFP, but I know that both MFP and Fitbit are working to correct that.

Thanks Ozzie!! I was wondering why my calories on MFP weren't reflecting accurately on my fitbit.
