Hello
I am a newbie here and I have been using the fitbit charge hr for the past week. Great device!
The question I have is when I loffed my food I have been doing it on my fitness pal. I think I read somewhere that they have a bigger database for foods and also the app allows for bar reading of foods.
It seems the app syncs with the fitbit app and imports the total calries per meal.
Just curious if there is any pro/cons on what I am doing

I'm using Lose It to log my food. It syncs with the Fitbit app. It's www.loseit.com and it's free

Nothing wrong with the way you're doing it, my friend! I've been logging my food in MFP for years and syncing the calorie information back to Fitbit. My wife does the opposite. No wrong or right. In my opinion, MFP has a much better inventory of foods with a larger community behind it to keep things up to date. That, and the overall interface/UI is a bit more agreeable. In this sense, Fitbit is the best at activity tracking...and MFP is the best at calorie tracking. Why not use the best in both worlds?

<<Some people also log their activity in MFP. I personally like doing it through Fitbit. I feel like that is where I see people experiencing troubles and questioning how data is being shared. >>
Thanks for posting that. After reading the instructions for linking MFP I was confused as it said you have to enter both food and exercise through MFP. I was thinking I only wanted to enter the food in MFP.
A question can you switch back and forth or once you start entering the food in MFP do you always have to enter from MFP.
