myfitnesspal not syncing consistently (works sometimes)

Having intermittent syncing problems between fitbit and myfitnesspal calories. It's transferring over part of my meals, or only some of my meals. Only started a few days ago. Before that it worked flawlessly.

Un-linking and re-linking the accounts works, but I really don't want to have to do that every day. Any other ideas of what's going on?

I posted the same thing a couple hours ago. It's so annoying!

Very annoying. Seems myfitnesspal forum users are having this issue too so I don't know what side the error is on. I've posted here and emailed myfitnesspal tech support in case it's a bug on their side.

Oh well, at least it *does* work with a manual re-link. I can manage doing that once a day before bed if necessary until this is fixed.

Any fitbit moderators out there that can help? I've been working with myfitnesspal tech support and they're out of ideas... would love an opinion from a fitbit person....

I'm having the same problem as well. Started around Thursday or Friday, food only gets imported sometimes, or meals will be imported partially. As for you, re-linking fixes the values for that day but I really don't plan on doing this every day...

Having the same issue -- 2 out of 6 meals stopped importing from MFP at some point last week. I've disconnected/reconnected them but it's still happening. After 30 minutes with Fitbit's support, they told me to go contact MFP's support instead.

I think I am having the same issue, and posted about it over the weekend in the Fitbit Dashboard section here:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-com-Dashboard/MyFitnessPal-Food-Diary-Syncing-Issues-with-Fit...

Everything shows up correctly on the MyFitnessPal side, but portions of my meals are often omitted or multiplied.  Deleting the meals and inputting all my meals at one time at the end of the day seems to be the only way I get remotely accurate.  Not exactly convenient!  Fitbit never seems to recognize the 13 calorie fish oil supplement I take daily either.  Disconnecting and reconnecting helps if the steps are off, but does not help with syncing my Food Diary from MyFitnessPal.

So far I've received zero help from fitbit, but people on the myfitnesspal side are at least looking into it. I'm not sure who's "side" the issue is on.

I'm having the exact same issue. Very annoying! I'm relinking constantly. I hope there will be a solution soon.

Hi.

Yes, the same thing has happened to me just within the last few days. I like my Fitbit Charge 2, but it has 2 issues that can be addressed using 3rd party synch:

1) The food database is very poor (UK), whereas almost every barcode I have scanned using MyFitnessPal has been recognised.

2) Heart Rate at high intensity is poor - I use a Polar chest heart rate monitor with Endomondo.

Both these were working fine, now since the start of May they have not synched. I tried the deregister / reregister trick, and it works sometimes, but something has changed for sure.

I have also been having this issue since at least Monday.      I log all my food in MFP, but FitBit is showing significantly less calories total.

I'm also having this problem; it's missing out chunks of meals, been happening the last 2 days. Very annoying!

Same thing is happening to me! It seems like it's an issue on Fitbit's side.

I have a theory that maybe Fitbit is doing it on purpose to try and get people to begin logging their food on the Fitbit app instead of using myfitnesspal (Fitbit very recently began offering the opportunity to track macros which they couldn't before).

If that's the case, it's really shady and not cool. I hope that's not why but I wouldn't be surprised if that was why!

I'm having this problem too!  It was working flawlessly for months and suddenly fitbit is only getting partial meals or only some of the meals from mfp 😞

SAME PROBLEM HERE!!!  I just got the charge2 several days ago but have been using myfitnesspal for months logging my food. How do we get someone to help us? This is driving me crazy. There is not rhyme or reason but some meal summaries are missing some of the calories when they go to fitbit. HELP  US!!!!

I don't know. It looks like Myfitnesspal has it listed as a known bug on their website so hopefully they are going to figure it out. FitBit is very hands off about the whole thing.
