So I went jogging this morning and mapmyrun says I burned about 650 calories, but fitbit has my calories burned at double that amount. I used a heart rate monitor before and the results I am getting from mapmyfun are very close to what I was getting with the heart rate monitor. So why is fitbit so off and what can be done to fix it?

@Robbnva A warm welcome to the Community! Fitbit tracker and Dashboard will show you the amount of calories burn for the whole day if you want to see just the calories for that run, you can put your Flex into activity/sleep mode as soon as you finished the activity you can sync your Flex and you will see how many calories you did during that time. If you're getting different stats keep in mind that Fitbit Flex will calculate your information based on the personal data that you entered when you created your account.

My calories burned and steps taken are way off.  I figure at least a 20% discrepency.  I woke up this morning and had already burned 1100 calories and had 230 steps.  I have my charge set for my none dominant hand but I'm thinking maybe if I set it for my dominant hand it won't be so sensitive and give me a more accurate reading on my steps.  As for the calories burned I don't know what to do.  Any suggestions?

@howie999 The calories burned that you're seeing are all fine because this calories are based on your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), you may want to learn more about it here.  That's true if you have your Charge set to Dominant, it won't be too sensitive, check this article How accurate is my Charge?
