Why so my very active minutes disappear when I use my digifit app.

I tend to see the same with Digifit. This is because when you log an activity through another source, whatever you log replaces the fitbit calorie burn. For logged activity, the activity level is strictly calorie burn per minute. The calorie burn is reported as a total for a certain time and duration--so the calories are evenly divided among the minutes (other than maybe the first and last minute). Most of my workouts (including some that are very vigorous) will average out to be 'moderately active', this is especially true of intervals. I tend to delete the digift entry for step-based cardio--I leave it for non-step activities (since fitbit would have estiamted very little on it's own so it is always an improvement). I feel that my Digifit calorie burn is pretty accurate (I did spring for and use the optional fitness assessments) and it often actually matches what fitbit would ahve credited anyway. If you lose minutes, it probably logged less or about the same as what fitbit would have credited. Oh, the fitbit activity level is minute by minute so likely some of your minutes were more vigorous than others, that is why you can see a decrease when you log the same (or even slightly more) calorie burn. I find I only gain VAM if my Digifit calorie burn is at least 50 calories higher than my Fitbit estimate would be.
