Ring Doorbell notifications not working on my Versa 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I don't get any ring doorbell notifications at all on my samsung s21 or my s10+, it is ticked on the app and all other notifications come through,  I've tried every suggestion on here but with no joy, is it just me or are others experiencing this?

Hi there, @MG2768. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out.

Have you verified if the Ring Doorbell app is also updated to the latest version?

I'd recommend trying the steps below in the order listed even if some of them you've already attempted:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on your profile's picture > Versa 3.
  2. Tap on Notifications > App notification and turn it off for Ring Doorbell.
  3. Reboot your phone and restart your Sense.
  4. On your Versa 3, swipe right from the clock face on your watch to access quick settings and turn off/on the notifications.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and enable the app notifications for Ring Doorbell.
  6. Then sync your tracker and test the notifications one more time.

For more troubleshooting steps, see Why are notifications delayed or missing?

Hope that helps.

Hi @MG2768 -  this would seem to be a common problem with the Ring doorbell app and Fitbit app - have a look in the forums for similar cases. There are workarounds.

Hi @MG2768 - If you have an Android phone did you try the Macrodroid solution.

@MG2768  try in Macrodroid

  • Home tab at the bottom
  • Add macro Wizard, top row
  • Select Notification from the list
  • Use Notification received - ok
  • Select Application(s) - ok
  • Select the Ring App - ok and ok again
  • Click actions tab
  • select Display notification
  • add a title and message
  • click the tick
  • give the macro a name"door bell" - ok
  • click macros tab at the bottom
  • click door bell macro
  • click 3 dots
  • click test macro
  • You should receive a notification on your phone

If you added Macrodroid to your Device Notifications - App notifications it should appear on the watch too.

If it's not working try restarting the phone and watch.

It should like this except instead of email it will be your door bell app
