Dear Fitbit Product Team,
I am a loyal Fitbit user and greatly appreciate the innovation and health-focused features your devices provide.
I’d like to propose an idea for a new feature or wearable device: a smart detection system that can identify the presence of small crawling creatures like cockroaches or geckos (commonly known as lizards in homes), which are a significant source of fear and discomfort for many people—especially in hot or rural areas.
This wearable could include:
• Thermal sensors to detect body heat of nearby insects or reptiles.
• Motion or vibration sensors to capture movement across nearby surfaces.
• Instant alerts through the Fitbit app or vibrations on the wrist.
This feature could help users feel safer and more at ease, especially when sleeping, camping, or staying in unfamiliar indoor environments. It could also open up Fitbit to a new segment of users focused on environmental awareness and home safety.
I hope this idea aligns with Fitbit’s mission of improving wellbeing. Thank you for considering it.
Best regardes

A warm welcome to the community forums @gulf-fiberglass.
Thank you for taking the time to share all the details regarding this suggestion that you described above.
I haven't come across an idea quite like this before, especially since it doesn't directly relate to a physical activity or health improvement; However, I'd highly recommend posting your idea on the Product Feedback board in our Community. The team of developers keeps a close eye on that section, and it's a fantastic way to get your suggestion noticed! If you decide to post the idea, please feel free to include as many details as possible the more information, the better.
