I religiously check my sleep stages. Today, it only shows a sleep timeline without the sleep stages included and an ad for Premium. So disappointing. If it remains this way I will be looking for another device.

Hello @ashgah and welcome to the Community. Please be assured that sleep stages aren't behind a paywall. Every now and then all users can get sleep patterns and not sleep stages. A typical reason is that your Fitbit count get a detailed heart rate trace. This can happen if your wrist is in an odd position and you don't get good skin contact.
You still might see what looks like a normal heart rate graph in your daily heart rate graphs. That graph shows your heart rate averaged over five minutes. You Fitbit needs to see the beat-to-beat data to calculate sleep stages.

I've had the same issue since the 13th. I've tried readjusting my wrist band, my fitbit is charged, and I reset it. I found your post when I googled to see if sleep stages are going behind the premium wall. I'll be really disappointed if it is. I got a more expensive watch to track my sleep, now I have to spend more to get premium? Shady.

Agreed!!!! 😡😡 I have had a top line Fitbit for 4 years.
I do occasionally have issues with no sleep data even though the watch is charged and being worn.
I’ve also had it say I was asleep for hours after being awake, climbing stairs, etc.
But I don’t think I’ve ever just gotten time asleep and awake with no tracking.
I have a Sense and a Versa 4, and an Apple Watch.
The only reason I keep Fitbit is for the sleep tracking and the longer I own one, the more it seems like they take features away and want to charge for them….kind of like Amazon Prime!!
This is a software or hardware glitch if it isn’t intentional. If this isn’t corrected ASAP, I will both stop using Fitbit and post reviews about why ongoing charges to access watch features makes Apple Watch a better choice if you have an iPhone.

Yeah the one thing I found strange is that the one day my data wasn’t tracked, an ad for Premium appeared underneath? Seems like odd timing. I had an unused trial for Premium that I started and now my sleep data is back, so I can’t say whether it’s still gated or not. If it is still like this at the end of the trial, I’ll be getting a new device.

Yeah and what was super odd was the ad for Premium underneath. If what others are saying is true and it’s just an error from wearing it wrong, why is there an ad? I had an unused free trial that I activated to try and get the sleep data back, so can’t say if it’s still happening in free mode. If at the end of the trial it goes back to this weird non-tracking mode, I’ll also be getting an Apple Watch.

Any recommendations as to fix versa 4 but tracking sleep? I haven’t had one in 4 days. I pay for premium, not that it matters’

On my app, the ad is ALWAYS there. It is just down further below the Sleep data. So, my guess would be that you simply don't notice it when the data you want is there and the ad is pushed down further. They are not shy about shoving that ad for premium on any screen they can throughout the system. Sometimes it is just easier to ignore than others.
