Is there a way for Fitbit to automatically detect when a spinning session (stationary bike) starts? Like how it does with elliptical or swimming or regular bike? Or do we have to manually add it every single time?

Hello @Cmagras and welcome to the Community.  I'm sorry, but spinning isn't auto-detected.  You must use the Exercise app on your Versa 4.
