Band latches fail to hold the band Versa 4

I purchased a new versa 4 in June and this past week the band latches failed to hold the band to the watch.  I ordered two new watch bands but they do not come with new retainers and because google purchased fitbit I cannot get a repair order started.  I do not want to log in using a gmail account as I feel google is the second most evil tech company on the planet.  Does anyone know where to get the band latches?  This shouldnt be this hard and google shouldnt be requiring a gma
