I know that in the past, fitbits could not be synched with Chromebooks. Is that still the case? Is there a workaround?

Hi @ds2024 the only way to set up and sync is with a compatible smartphone or tablet. The Chromebook, while Android, is not a full version of that operating system. There is no workaround to get your Chromebook to sync the data. Even Windows computers no longer have this ability.

Hi there, @ds2024. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. We're here to help you and answer your inquiry!
As @Odyssey13 has mentioned, the Fitbit app for computers has been discontinued and it's now required to have a compatible mobile device to set up and sync your Fitbit device. For more details about the compatibility requirements, click here.
