Can't add cities to the Weather app on my Versa 4

ANSWERED

I can't add cities in the Weather app. My phone is an Android. My Fitbit is a Versa 4. I've tried logging off, clearing cache, logging on, location is allowed, turning off/on Bluetooth, nothing seems to work. Also I rebooted the watch. Nothing.

Doesnt work. I've given it full permissions all around.

I have the same issue as OP.

Aldo doesn't use my correct location at all.

Hi there, @MelAnt. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that you cannot add cities to the weather app on your Versa 4. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd like to make sure that you've restarted your Versa 4 as described here. Then, please try again adding the additional locations.

If the issue persists, please check the following settings:

  • Location services must be turned on for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone.

It's still not working. I feel like I need a little more information on how
to turn on location services in the app to make sure that's on. My phone
says it is. But when I enter a city name all I get is a spinning wheel.

@MelAnt Thanks for getting back and for following the steps I recommended.

For more information, see the Change app permissions on your Android phone help article.

On a side note, please make sure that your Fitbit app and Versa 4 are up-to-date.

It does use my location but still...this tells me I'm not the only one who can't add cities!

Mine is completely unusable and even worse. It uses a random location. So its completely broken for me.

Im on an S24+ and GPS works fine for everything else.

I cant even delete the weather tile or uninstall it. I click uninstall and it just comes back.

I've also shut down the watch and rebooted it and cleared app cache, still broken.

I cleared the cache too. I do like the watch itself but for the time being, as far as the cities in the Weather app is concerned, I've kinda given up hope that Fitbit will resolve the issue. I may try again at a later time, and just use my current location since that part does seem to work for me. I honestly think FitBit did something in an update as it wasn't working on my Sense either. The only real reason I used the cities is I garden and I kinda use weather in two cities to see what's coming in a little more detail than our local forecast. But then I could use an app on my phone for that but it sure was convenient to have on my wrist!

Think they're breaking it on purpose so we buy the pixel, but that thing isn't stylish.

If they want to do that, they should bring the price down and make it look like the Charge, Versa or Sense lines.
